Come and Visit us!

Join us in Cochabamba or Santa Cruz with a group and join us in the ministry of the House of Hope.  We are currently looking for teams that could help us with a number of projects for various ministries.  Come and experience how God is working in another country, experience cross-cultural worship and fellowship, and make a difference in the lives of the wonderful people of Bolivia.  If you are interested find our about opportunities to serve here.

Maybe you can't swing a trip, but you and your church would like to help with some supplies that we could desperately use.  For a list of what supplies we need currently, you can check here.  Either way there are lots of ways to join us in what God is doing in South America.

House of Hope on the web...

This summer we have been blessed to have three wonderful summer interns.  Have you ever wondered what it would be like to serve God in another culture, another country?  Get the perspective of summer intern Kasey Madden about her trip to the House of Hope, Cochabamba.  Read her thoughts in the article "Doing the Dishes".

What's new at the house of hope?

What's the latest news from Bolivia?

We use four guiding principles in our work.

Through the life of this ministry, over 60 ministries have been started or supported by The House of Hope Foundation.  Over the years, we have realized that many organizations and non-profit foundations do their best to bring their version of change to local communities.  We feel that this is an ineffective way to begin to change culture.  True cultural change comes from within.  For this and other reasons, we feel that to truly promote local contextual expressions of God's work in the world, we need to empower local pastors and leaders and support them in their journey.  Over time this value has been represented in a four-fold philosophy of ministry*, that when coupled with a theology of Integral Mission can make immense impact in the local church and community.

We work alongside churches and leaders to help them foster long-term systems and opportunities to connect their communities to the Kingdom of God.

Empowerment

We empower pastors and leaders to innovate and make a difference for the Kingdom in their local context.

CONTEXTUALIZATION

We work alongside churches and leaders to help them identify the needs in their local community and begin to address them accordingly.

Challenge

We challenge people to be more than they think they can be and strive for greater impact in their local communities for the Kingdom of God.
